To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. I have attempted multiple times to download all of my photos stored in iCloud onto my PC. It appears to be downloading and even create folders. But the folders are empty. I have checked all the settings, everything is enabled. I have restarted. I have deleted and reinstalled. I can download the photos individually, but there are 17, and that will take me three months. What is blocking it from downloading all at once?

Downloaded the iCloud app yesterday to her PC, set it to just download in settings not upload. It said there were over 1, pics to download, it created all the directories for each “year” on her pc and only downloaded 5 pics to the folder over the space of an hour or more.
My internet connection is good and I can usually download anything at around 6. Now, things are even worse as, having deleted those folders in frustration and tried again, it now doesn’t see anything to download although it creates the empty annual folders.
When I go to her iCloud account online, all her photos just show as a grey rectangle with an exclamation mark in a triangle in the middle! This issues with the photos in her iCloud account online happened a while ago and having spent over an hour on the phone to apple support, ended up with having to do a full reset and restore from backup on her phone which meant some of her photos were lost. Considering we pay for extra storage space, this service is absolutely not good enough!
